BrAVONS

We are excited to launch the British Association of Veterinary Ophthalmic Nurses with the first nursing lecture stream at the BrAVO Winter Meeting.

BrAVONs is headed by a group of experienced ophthalmic nurses who look forward to developing this initiative as a welcoming community where veterinary nurses can connect, access relevant CPD, share experiences and exchange knowledge.

Ultimately, BrAVONS aims to make ophthalmology more accessible to veterinary nurses at every stage of their careers, building knowledge, confidence and a stronger nursing community to improve care and outcomes for ophthalmic patients.

This new BrAVONs committee have put together an introductory day of talks and welcome input from fellow nurses to help build this community. We look forward to seeing how this initiative develops, the opportunities it creates for RVN’s and the positive impact it can have on the future of veterinary ophthalmology.
