BSAVA Postgraduate Certificates – Examiner Roles

BSAVA Postgraduate Certificates – Examiner Roles

BSAVA run several Postgraduate Certificates, and in order to provide high quality examinations our Examination team need appropriately qualified examiners for our assessments. The role includes marking case-reports, and/or exam questions (short answer questions, case-based problems), and providing constructive written feedback for our students.

Why would I want to get involved?
Examiners can:
• gain experience in education and assessment methods
• diversify their experience and skills for their CV
• count their work as CPD

There is remuneration for the role, which is dependent on what type and how many questions you mark. Please contact us for more information.
These roles are fully remote and can be done flexibly around other commitments (within specified timeframes).

Who can act as an examiner?
• Working as an examiner is a great avenue for both Specialists and RCVS-registered Advanced Practitioners
• Examiners will be expected to be comfortable with the content of exam questions that they mark, along with the supporting literature (we will ensure you are allocated to exam questions that suit your experience and skills).

We currently require examiners in the following fields:

  • Small Animal Medicine
  • Small Animal Surgery
  • Small Animal Diagnostic imaging and/or Cardiology
  • Small Animal Ophthalmology
  • Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care

If you would like to express interest in these roles, please contact: exams@bsava.com
Include a brief outline of your relevant clinical experience, skills, and qualifications
If a suitable role is not immediately available in your chosen discipline, we will keep your details on record and contact you when roles become available in the future.
