Ophthalmology Position at Davies Veterinary Specialists
Location: Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border
Your role and responsibilities
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Ophthalmology Team. We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmology Specialist to join our multi-disciplinary clinical team and work alongside our experienced team of two ECVO specialists and an ophthalmology intern. You will be working closely with specialist teams in all the disciplines expected in a multidisciplinary referral practice, with highly skilled nurses and incredible support teams. Our fantastic facilities include a newly re-developed on-site imaging suite (64 slice CT and 1.5T MRI), fully equipped Ophthalmology surgical suite and two Ophthalmology-specific consulting rooms. More importantly, we have fabulous colleagues including world-class Diplomate level Anaesthesia, Imaging and Internal medicine teams.
The ideal candidate will hold an ECVO or ACVO Diploma, but candidates eligible for Diploma examination after having completed an approved residency programme are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must also hold, or be eligible for, membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Experience in complex ophthalmology case management is essential, as is being personable with a good sense of humour. Specific experiences / qualifications / status / citizenship requirements
You must fulfil the following requirements:
- Have an excellent command of written and spoken English
- Maintain a professional and caring approach in all aspects of your work
- Provide evidence of your Right to Work in the UK.
- Undergraduate Veterinary Degree
- RCVS current membership
- Previous experience of clinical cases
- Competent in use of Microsoft office and clinical systems for email, producing letters and report, recording accurate patient records, etc
